Peter J. Craniotis
Peter J. Craniotis, barrister & solicitor, established the Craniotis Law Office shortly after being called to the Ontario Bar on June 18, 2009. Since its inception, the Craniotis Law Office has always been located in the Town of Oakville in the Halton Region. This central location allows Peter to represent clients in several jurisdictions in the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding areas, including Oakville, Burlington, Milton, Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton, Brantford, Newmarket, St. Catharines and Toronto.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Peter attended the University of Toronto at Mississauga (UTM) and graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in 2005. While studying at UTM, Peter was placed on the Dean’s List and admitted into the Golden Key International Honour Society.
Following his undergraduate studies, Peter was accepted into the French Common Law Program at the University of Ottawa. As a student in the French Common Law Program, all of his compulsory courses and at least 75% of his upper year courses were in French. Peter graduated from law school in 2008. His completion of the French Common Law Program prepared him to represent Franco-Ontarians and other French-speaking individuals throughout the course of his legal career.
After graduating from law school, Peter articled with Gauthier & Associates in Toronto for ten (10) months. It was during this period that Peter was first introduced to the practice of real estate law, among other areas of law. Peter continues to practice real estate law to this day.
Throughout high school, his undergraduate and law school studies, Peter was always truly fascinated with the intricacies and complexities of criminal law in the context of our Canadian justice system. For that reason, since becoming a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, he has devoted most of his legal career to a vital element of our justice system, namely the representation of persons charged with criminal and/or drug-related offences.
Peter has represented over 1,000 individuals across 15 years of experience as a lawyer.
